What to Expect
A newborn photography session is a beautiful way to celebrate a new addition to your family. The newborn days are fleeting and as a parent, you want to soak up every little moment of it. Newborn days are also challenging as you and your family transition into a new phase of life.
I'm here to help.
A lifestyle newborn session is a photography session that focuses on love and connection. Babies are held by their parents in ways that are comfortable and natural to them, and posed in a way that you would find them naturally. Sessions often include siblings and beloved pets too! Sessions typically take place in the client’s home. Rooms most commonly used are the nursery, master bedroom and living room. No need to worry too much about a mess – you just had a baby! I am happy to assist by moving things out of the way in areas we are photographing. If the weather cooperates, it is also possible to have a newborn session outdoors. This is a great option for summer babes.
The average lifestyle newborn session is 1 - 2 hours long. This allows time for breaks, diaper changing and feeding.
The baby is in charge and no one needs to feel rushed.

When To Book Your session
Most of my clients book their newborn session when they are between 4 and 6 months pregnant to ensure that I have availability.
Once the baby arrives, you will contact me as soon as possible so that we can schedule a date and time.
For sleepy and snuggly baby photos, we schedule the session between 2 - 10 days.
For photos of the baby a little more alert, we schedule the session from 10 days up to 2 months old.
